Amy learned to play MahJong almost 20 years ago, drawn in by the familiar sound of the tiles that reminded her of childhood afternoons by the pool, watching the neighborhood women play in the sunshine.
She discovered MahJong as the perfect way to connect with friends. Her group has been playing together ever since, finding the game a wonderful way to unwind, laugh, and share time together.
As an instructor, Amy maintains a fun and light teaching style. She introduces the rules with clarity and patience, ensuring her students feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. Her focus is on enjoyment, connection, and building confidence at the table. For those looking to deepen their skills, she’s happy to provide guidance toward competitive play, but her main goal as a MahJong teacher is always to share the joy and friendships that the game inspires.
